The world has gone gaga for Lady Gaga, who at age 24 has become the hottest performer of her generation. With only two albums under her belt, TIME magazine declared Lady Gaga one of The World’s Most Influential People in 2010.
The TIME magazine photo seen above presents an image of a white hot Gaga donning an electrically-charged bustier. Dressed in a Giorgio Armani designed, lingerie-themed bodysuit produced from embroidered chantilly lace and crystal, with jet beading and topped off by a silk organza cape, she and her half-naked dancers rocked the American Idol stage last night with another sultry mash-up of “Alejandro” and “Bad Romance.”
Grammy Award–winning pop singer Cyndi Lauper’s essay on Lady Gaga in TIME magazine shared the following thoughts on this avant-garde performer…
“I first heard the name Lady Gaga through a mutual friend. He couldn’t stop talking about her. Then I heard her music, and I thought, Wow, I love this kid.
“An artist’s job is to take a snapshot — be it through words or sound, lyrics or song — that explains what it’s like to be alive at that time”.
“When ‘Bad Romance’ starts, the music grabs your ear immediately. Then she opens with the line ‘I want your ugly/ I want your disease,’ and all of a sudden you’re listening”.
”I can’t wait to see how she grows and what she decides her next act will be. I find it very comforting to sit next to somebody and not have to worry that I look like the freak. She isn’t a pop act, she is a performance artist. She herself is the art. She is the sculpture.”
The Lady Gaga impact was also evident on this week’s Dancing with the Stars episode, which featured a sizzling dance routine by Team Gaga during the show’s Cha-Cha Challenge. In case you missed it here’s Team Gaga’s encore performance.
The 2010 Grammy Awards was a historic achievement for Beyonce as she sang her way into the Grammy record book by winning six awards, the most awarded to a female artist in one night. TV viewers went gaga for Beyonce and Pink’s seductive costumes as well as their performances. Beyonce brought the audience inside the Staples Center to its feet during her sultry rendition of “If I Were A Boy” and “You Oughta Know.”
But it was Pink who aroused us the most, when she took to the stage dressed in a white hooded robe to perform “Glitter In The Air.” What began as an easy Sunday evening performance, quickly transformed into a sexy, high-swinging circus act. Slowly, we watched Pink strip on stage and slip her semi-nude body into a white sheet that was fashioned into a swing. Dressed in a sexy bodysuit and dripping wet… She was lifted high above the stage as she serenaded the audience below. Viewers held their breath as she teased and twirled upside down and sprayed droplets of water on the folks seated beneath her. WOW… what a stimulating performance!
“[she] created a character as an offering for the sacrifice” and that she is “not willing to give [her] true self up”: “It’s a testament to my real personality that I would go so far as to make up another personality to give to the world. The reality is, I’m hidden amongst all the insanity. Nobody can find me.”
Interesting…nevertheless we can all agree she is hot!
Eva Mendes hasn’t been in a blockbuster film recently,..but that doesn’t mean she’s out of the public eye.
Eva Mendes is part of yet another racy billboard for Calvin Klein in Soho. The sultry actress is raising eyebrows, as well as concerns through this new campaign.
The billboard takes up one entire side of a building located on Houston and Lafayette Street in the Soho section of New York City.
While many residents and employees of the swanky Soho section applaud the ad, others are quite appalled and dub the billboard as, “borderline pornography“.
One resident stated,
“Some of us don’t want to expose our kids to something like this – it’s borderline pornography,” said Carl Wilson, 55, an MTA worker from Queens.
Really?
The controversy for Mendes or Calvin Klein is no surprise as just last year an ad featuring Mendes was banned in the U.S. after being labeled obscene.
Obscene or not, one thing is for sure….it definitely oozes sexy!
The game was played at the Sovereign Center in Reading, PA to a mostly male crowd of about 400 and marked the debut of the LFL this year.
A local Philly newspaper reported that fans were so excited to see the sexy, lingerie clad women that they nearly knocked the foam off the walls from the end zone!
However….
Unlike the Yankees, the NY Majesty didn’t stand much of a chance against Philly’s offense. The Philly Passion beat NY 40-6 with wide receiver Tyra Lusby scoring 5 touchdowns.
The Transformers star will also be the face of Armani’s premium jean line and her ads will be launched sometime in January…So mark your calendars!
However, the part between Armani and Victoria Beckham was amicable. In fact, sources reveal that Queen Beckham was very self conscious about her body and often expressed concerns about revealing her stomach.((due to child bearing of course))..
We also bet she didn’t want to let out the secret that she is not human either!!!
So this deal works out for everyone!!!
On a side note: Mr Beckham is also handing down the throne to the delicious Real Madrid super star, Cristiano Ronaldo!!
