As the 2010 Miss USA winner is set to be crowned this weekend, pageant officials have been doing double time on the morning and evening talk shows in defense of racy photos showcasing 2010 contestants posed in sexy lingerie. In an effort to spice things up, pageant officials commissioned photographer Fadil Berisha, to shoot the beauty queens in a Playboy-themed promo entitled “Waking Up In Vegas”.
The risqué photos feature beauty queens provocatively posing on rumpled bedding in an alluring array of sexy panties, boy shorts, push-up bras, corsets, and sexy thigh-high stockings. Of course, we all remember the controversy that erupted last year when sexy lingerie photos surfaced of Carrie Prejean (the original winner of the Miss California pageant) ended up costing her the crown.
Emmy-nominated star and co-producer of the reality television series The Apprentice, Miss USA franchise owner Donald Trump is not concerned by the controversy and has decided not to utter his infamous “You’re Fired” statement.
Tim Winter from the Parents Television Council explained, “There has been a growing debate over the line between a beauty pageant and soft-core pornography…and I think this year’s pageant not only erases that line, it obliterates it.”
Mr. Trump’s response, “We are in a different age. They are a little bit sexy but I’ll tell you what – everybody’s watching, so I have no problems with it.”
Miss USA 2010 will be broadcast live on NBC at 7 p.m. ET on Sunday May 16th from the Theatre for the Performing Arts within Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. This year’s co-hosts are Australian celebrity chef Curtis Stone and Today show correspondent Natalie Morales. Color commentary will be provided by the former Celebrity Apprentice mother-daughter duo, Joan and Melissa Rivers. The Pop-rock group Boys Like Girls will perform during the swimsuit competition and country music star Trace Adkins will perform during the evening gown competition. The winner will represent the United States in the Miss Universe 2010 competition.

The world has gone gaga for Lady Gaga, who at age 24 has become the hottest performer of her generation. With only two albums under her belt, TIME magazine declared Lady Gaga one of The World’s Most Influential People in 2010.
The TIME magazine photo seen above presents an image of a white hot Gaga donning an electrically-charged bustier. Dressed in a Giorgio Armani designed, lingerie-themed bodysuit produced from embroidered chantilly lace and crystal, with jet beading and topped off by a silk organza cape, she and her half-naked dancers rocked the American Idol stage last night with another sultry mash-up of “Alejandro” and “Bad Romance.”
Grammy Award–winning pop singer Cyndi Lauper’s essay on Lady Gaga in TIME magazine shared the following thoughts on this avant-garde performer…
“I first heard the name Lady Gaga through a mutual friend. He couldn’t stop talking about her. Then I heard her music, and I thought, Wow, I love this kid.
“An artist’s job is to take a snapshot — be it through words or sound, lyrics or song — that explains what it’s like to be alive at that time”.
“When ‘Bad Romance’ starts, the music grabs your ear immediately. Then she opens with the line ‘I want your ugly/ I want your disease,’ and all of a sudden you’re listening”.
”I can’t wait to see how she grows and what she decides her next act will be. I find it very comforting to sit next to somebody and not have to worry that I look like the freak. She isn’t a pop act, she is a performance artist. She herself is the art. She is the sculpture.”

February 17th, 2010 was a gold-medal day at Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games for the sexy and talented Lindsey Vonn. So in the weeks leading up to the Vancouver Olympics, all eyes were on Lindsey as a result of a recent wrist injury, a severely bruised shin during a pre-Olympic practice in Austria on February 2, and her sexy picabo-bikini photo spread in the 2010 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Eva Mendes hasn’t been in a blockbuster film recently,..but that doesn’t mean she’s out of the public eye.
Eva Mendes is part of yet another racy billboard for Calvin Klein in Soho. The sultry actress is raising eyebrows, as well as concerns through this new campaign.
The billboard takes up one entire side of a building located on Houston and Lafayette Street in the Soho section of New York City.
While many residents and employees of the swanky Soho section applaud the ad, others are quite appalled and dub the billboard as, “borderline pornography“.
One resident stated,
“Some of us don’t want to expose our kids to something like this – it’s borderline pornography,” said Carl Wilson, 55, an MTA worker from Queens.
Really?
The controversy for Mendes or Calvin Klein is no surprise as just last year an ad featuring Mendes was banned in the U.S. after being labeled obscene.
Obscene or not, one thing is for sure….it definitely oozes sexy!
